When you are overwhelmed, you experience stress because you are unable to cope with your emotions and mental pressure. Stress can be caused by a variety of factors, including having too much work or responsibilities, dealing with unhealthy relationships, going through life upheavals, or being under too much academic pressure. Stress, on the other hand, is vital in your life because it motivates you to get things done, perform better, and move on in your life. It pushes you to figure out ways to solve the problems you're having.

There are some reactions your body shows when you are feeling stressed. First, there is the natural reaction. This includes the physical reactions, like when you have sweaty hands or when your heart pounds faster than normal. You can experience these reactions while performing on a stage, or watching a scary movie. There is also the “fight or flight response, when the nervous system in your body increases the heart rate and blood pressure, to prepare you to deal with any possible threats or problems.

Physical symptoms such as stomach aches, headaches, high blood pressure, and chest pain might occur if you are frequently stressed. It can also help you cope with emotional issues such as anxiety and despair. When your body is exposed to abrupt emotional pressures, such as a terrorist attack, it can cause heart attacks, arrhythmias, and even death. These severe reactions, however, are more common in those who already have heart disease.

There are numerous methods for reducing stress. To begin, you must first determine what is causing your stress so that you can develop a strategy for coping with it. Throughout the day, write down your thoughts, mood, and anything else that is upsetting you. If you have a lot on your plate, prioritize the tasks that are most important to you and eliminate the ones that aren't. Additionally, having a solid relationship with your family and friends might aid in stress reduction. You can spend time with them to clear your thoughts or seek their assistance and guidance.
