Hawaiian public education is currently grappling with a series of challenges, highlighting systemic issues that are impacting students across the islands. One of the primary issues plaguing Hawaiian schools is the chronic teacher shortage. Despite these challenges, there are ongoing efforts to reform and revitalize Hawaiian public education. For instance, there's a push for increased funding, with an emphasis on infrastructure improvement and higher teacher salaries to boost retention. Community and cultural initiatives are also being implemented, aiming to integrate traditional Hawaiian values and practices into the curriculum, fostering a stronger sense of identity and belonging among students.

While the road to resolving all Hawaiian public education problems is long, there's a collective commitment to ensuring that every student in Aloha State receives a quality education. The state's stakeholders are hopeful that with collaborative efforts, the future of Hawaiian education will be brighter.
