The co-existence of urban and suburban areas is increasing in many territories of South Korea. The tenement in Seoul Station is also one of the most underdeveloped areas experiencing severe societal negligence. This neglected area faces severe architectural problems that exacerbate the residents' vulnerable situation. 

The compact design of the buildings results in windowless rooms, leading to poor ventilation and a lack of basic hygiene facilities that pose threats to disease outbreaks. The residents, many of whom are physically or mentally challenged, also grapple with alcoholism and hoarding disorders, further impacting their living conditions. Furthermore, the illegal measurements of staircases create life-threatening hazards, particularly for immobile residents. 

The tenement's design lacks the essential facilities required for proper living conditions. The tenement is suffering from deteriorating structural integrity due to age, lack of maintenance, or use of substandard materials, posing risks of collapse or accidents. Such problems also led to Inadequate Insulation, leading to extreme temperature fluctuations inside the rooms, making living conditions uncomfortable and increasing energy consumption. 

Improving the living conditions in this neglected area is not just an architectural issue; it is a humanitarian imperative. The residents deserve a dignified and safe living environment that promotes their well-being and fosters a sense of community. By acknowledging and addressing the architectural problems and underlying societal issues, we can work towards creating a brighter and more inclusive future for the residents of the Seoul Station tenement and, ultimately, for all vulnerable communities across South Korea.
