Space.com (American space science media) reported that 'NASA' (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's) asteroid probe 'Lucy' successfully flew close to an asteroid for the first time in about two years since it was launched in October 2021.
'Lucy' successfully flew close to the asteroid 'Dinkinesh' by flying about 430 km away. Asteroid' Dinkinesh' is a small asteroid with a width of only about 1 km.
'NASA' initially did not plan to explore 'Dinkinesh,' but 'Dinkinesh' was included in the exploration target as it was known to be about 480 million km away in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

And currently, NASA stated, "Based on the information received, we have determined that Lucy's condition is good." Additionally, 'Lucy' plans to travel more than 6.3 billion km over the next ten years and explore several
asteroids.
