On February 29th, British musician Jacob Collier released Djesse Vol.4, the fourth and final album in his “Djesse” album series. Jacob Collier, who has currently won five Grammys, is a 29-year-old young artist who started his career on YouTube in 2016.

He has fascinated many musicians with his own unique harmonic technique and genre composition that seems to destroy existing music theory, an excellent sense of pitch and tempo, his wide range of instrument playing, and his incredible talent for expressing it all in real time.

After “In My Room,” the first album that made him famous, he released Djesse Vol.1 in 2018, Djesse Vol.2 in 2019, and Djesse Vol.3 in 2020. Each album has a different theme, attracting listeners by giving new sounds and experiences with each album.

The newly released Djesse Vol.4 combines all the elements of the previous three albums, featuring many music greats and celebrities such as Herbie Hancock, Metropole Orchestra, and John Mayer in almost all the songs included, and through this, each song gives feelings of other artists mix with Jacob's unique sound, leading listeners to a new horizon of music.

In particular, the 12th song, Bridge over Troubled Water, which many predict will be the next Grammy winning song, combines the beautiful voices of John Legend and Tori Kelly with Jacob's own harmony techniques to give a feeling that has never been experienced in other music.

Jacob's activities after the Djesse album series, in which he expressed his own music at the young age of 29, are attracting attention. In particular, this album includes artists familiar to the public such as Aespa and Chris Martin, so the public has increased opportunities to experience his music, which was previously unknown, and his unique musicality can influence the public's view of music.

Let's watch the journey of Jacob Collier, the Mozart of Gen Z, who has created an unprecedented impact on the music world and delighted our ears with new sounds.
