Students taking advantage of their summer vacation spend meaningful time volunteering at animal shelters. The city of Seoul is encouraging students to engage in volunteer work at these shelters.

According to the Seoul Animal Protection Division, students can develop a better understanding and sense of responsibility towards animals by participating in various shelter activities during the vacation, such as cleaning, primary care, and walking the dogs. Some of the animal shelters in Seoul include the Seoul Animal Shelter, Animal Love Seoul Center, and Seoul Stray Dog Protection Center, all currently recruiting volunteers.

Students participating in the volunteer work shared, "We felt a great sense of accomplishment from caring for the animals, and it was a valuable learning experience."

Shelter staff stated, "Thanks to the students' help, the shelter environment has improved, and we have been able to show more love to the stray dogs."

Animal protection organizations also encourage spending meaningful time at animal shelters during the vacation.
