The current AI industry is massive and getting larger each day. Recently, we saw an enormous wave of interest surge with the introduction of Deepseek from China, which was deemed a worthy competitor of behemoths like Chat-GPT-perhaps better. However, we may just be witnessing a new era of AI technology dawning as China brings to us Manus AI.
"This isn't just another chatbot or workflow. It's a truly autonomous agent that bridges the gap between conception and execution", the presenter says in an introductory video of Manus AI. Conventional AI chatbots require the user to make some effort to actively feed it with new prompts. However, Manus is an 'autonomous agent'-a self-operating, self-learning entity that significantly reduces the number of prompts needed as it builds its dashboard from a single prompt, relieving users from the laborious process.

A graph comparing the performance of Manus AI, OpenAI, and previous SOTAs
Manus AI promises a far superior experience compared to other AI models, both in performance and its applicability in real life. Despite still being in the restricted access stage, the Manus AI homepage has a 'case gallery' displaying completed tasks. Manus proves its versatility as it's seen accomplishing astonishing results, such as creating diagrams of the Battle of Lexington and devising travel plans for Japan, inspiring us with its practical use.
At this current state, Manus AI is a beacon of potential, with just speculations or glimpses of what it could truly achieve. However, its remarkably strong start, akin to other successful AI tools that have come out, is a cause for excitement. This autonomous AI agent is the leading figure in a generation of artificial intelligence that makes its objectives to solve a task.
