Allegations and controversy have surrounded the 55-year-old Sean Combs, otherwise known by his stage name Diddy or Puff Daddy, and now he is facing a trial set to begin the week of May 12.
Combs has built a successful career up to this point, which has spanned multiple decades since the late 1990s — when he rose to superstardom with his debut album No Way Out, although it received mixed reviews from critics after its release.
He is also famous for being the founder of Bad Boy Records, successfully launching the careers of major artists like The Notorious B.I.G.
Combs is facing several serious federal charges, with racketeering considered the most serious, along with charges of sex trafficking and prostitution.

The videos obtained from Combs’ electronic devices, which allegedly contain recordings of his personal “freak offs,” are set to be played in court. The jurors will be selected through a rigorous process to ensure a fair trial.
While it is confirmed that the trial won’t be televised, information regarding the proceedings will be accessible to the public and covered by various media platforms. If convicted, Combs could face life imprisonment.
