Artificial intelligence has rapidly become a part of our everyday lives. From creating images and videos to writing essays and designing artwork, AI can now accomplish tasks that once required human creativity. Although this technology provides convenience, it is also raising an important question: are we becoming too dependent on it?
The main reason why people increasingly rely on AI is that it allows them to complete difficult tasks quickly and easily. Students, in particular, can use AI to brainstorm ideas, summarize information, or even complete assignments. While these tools can be useful when used responsibly, excessive dependence on AI may prevent students from developing their own problem-solving and creative skills.

Social media further enhances this dependence. Platforms are now awash with AI-generated images, videos, and other content that can be created in seconds. With these creations on the rise, it is increasingly difficult to distinguish between what is made by humans and what is produced by AI. This can also make originality harder to spot.
Furthermore, the increasing use of AI raises concerns about the value of human creativity. Art, writing, and other forms of expression are important because they are reflections of personal experiences, feelings, and viewpoints. Artificial intelligence is able to mimic these qualities, but it doesn’t perceive the world in the same way humans do.
The problem isn’t necessarily AI itself. The difficulty is learning how to use it without letting it take the place of our own thinking. In a world where technology can create almost anything, our ability to think for ourselves and express our own ideas may be more important than ever.
