In Seoul, from August 24th to November 30th, a new weekend school program using school buses for elementary-, middle-, and high-schoolers has been planned. This program will utilize off-duty school buses to provide mobile, weekend-based outings every Saturday.
Registrations are available over the summer break constantly on www.youthnavi.net, first served basis, after which those who enter the program will be taken to various youth facilities and culture and arts sites around Seoul.

In 5 different parts of Seoul city, the program will take place with one bus in each part. Each bus will have its own Nol-Toh coordinator to support the program, and everything will be free.

The first sector’s Nol-Toh bus will transport students to Eunpyeong, Hwagok, Seodaemun and the Mapo Youth center. The second bus will travel around Seoul, Seongdong, Suseo, and the Boramae Youth Center. The third bus will visit Changdong, Gangbuk, Nowon and the Seongbuk Youth Center. The bus in the fourth sector will travel to Mangwoo, Jungnang, Gwangjin, Gangdong and the Dongdaemun Youth Center. Finally, the fifth bus will travel around Geumcheon, Guro, Mokdong, and the Moonrae Youth Center.

Each bus will accommodate around 20 to 25 people on guided tours and will operate 7 hours a day. Those who wish to attend can apply three weeks in advance on the Nol-Toh official homepage.

In order to meet the expectations and provide recreation to the youth in the 4th future industry, the Nol-Toh program will provide programs that focus on 1) 3D-printing, 2) Solar-powered cars, and 3) Boxing robots, as well as IT science, sports, ecology and safety. Further information on sector-specific education programs will require further individual queries.

In particular, there are a total of 11 cultural and artistic programs in Seoul in which youths can participate in creativity-enhancing programs of 1) Ecological experiences and upcycling, 2) Challenge programs, and 3) Traditional cultural experiences.

Meanwhile, Seoul City has fostered the Nol-Toh program with coordinators to ensure its safety. The coordinators are recruited at the beginning of the year with a 26-hour training period.

For more specific information on the Nol-Toh program, please contact the Youth Activity Promotion Center at 02-849-0175 or one of the 21 youth centers in Seoul. Contact information for each center can be found on the youthnavi homepage.
