At the end of July, my family took a summer vacation to the "Future Of The Jucheon River Natural Recreation Forest" in Gangwon Province. This trip with my grandfather, parents, and brother was exciting from the start. I've traveled to pensions and resorts many times, but it's the first time I've ever had a mountain recreation forest, so I was very excited.

It is characterized by the vast natural forest and the country's first recreational forest on the riverside, and above all, it was well-established a good way to take a walk while breathing nature. There are quite a few rooms, such as riverside villages and mountain villages, but the wonderful view of the lush forest from the entrance excites me. As soon as I arrived at the property, I helped my parents unpack and look out the surrounding landscape, where I had to open the window to breath the fresh breeze from the deep mountains and the trees.

The Zhucheon River originated from Mount Taegi in The Transverse County, and through the Yeongmoon River, it was a river that flows into the South River, and the recreation forest was constructed in the vast natural forest of The BaekduDaegan along the coast of the Zhucheon River. After breakfast the next day, the whole family walked through the deep forests of the recreation forest, including oak, nut pine, pine, lime tree mono maple, and lots of plants.

In addition to campsites, there were also facilities such as forest schools, water playgrounds, riverside playgrounds, children's playgrounds, and natural education facilities such as eco-learning center. There are also places around Chiak Mountain, Odae Mountain National Park, Hyundai Seongwoo Resort, Yongpyeong Resort, and tourist attractions such as Anheung Steamed Bun Village, which are famous for steamed buns, Gangwon Folk Village, and Common Heron Habitat, which makes it a great place to travel with your family.

I had a time to talk to my family and comments after coming back home. I felt a lot about the healing power that the great nature gives us, and my parents told me to go once more. If you've been to this place, your trip to the natural recreation forest is healing, dreaming, and happiness and meditation.

The air-conditioned wind is cool, but it's cold and sore, and the natural breeze of the lush forest is so refreshing and clean. This trip has shown that the power of nature heals us and gives us great thoughts, good hearts, and good feelings through greater dreams and hopes.

The Jucheon River Natural Recreation that I had a Forest Meaningful Family Trip is located at 115 Yeong-dong, Yeong-dong, Gangwon Province, which takes an hour and 20 minutes by KTX, and a 15-minute drive from Seoul Station.

I feel I become an honorary ambassador about this place, but if you've been not there yet, I would recommend it.

힐링, 꿈, 행복, 사색

우리 가족은 여름휴가를 지난 7월 말에 강원도에 있는 ‘미래도 주천강 자연휴양림’에 다녀왔다. 할아버지와 부모님과 형이랑 함께 한 이번 여행은 시작부터 신이 났다. 그동안 펜션이나 리조트 등으로는 여러 번 여행을 가봤지만 산속의 휴양림이란 곳은 처음이었기에 기대가 컸기 때문이다.

그곳은 광대한 천연림과 우리나라 최초로 강변에 조성된 휴양림이라는 점이 특색이며, 무엇보다 자연을 호흡하며 산책하기에 좋은 길이 잘 조성되어 있었다. 강변마을, 산골마을 등 객실도 꽤 많은데 입구에서부터 울창한 숲의 멋진 전경이 나를 설레게 했다. 깊은 산속의 상쾌한 바람과 그곳 나무에서 뿜어 나오는 그윽한 솔향기를 맡기 위해 창문을 내린 나는 숙소에 도착하자마자 부모님을 도와 짐을 풀고는 바로 밖으로 나와 주변 경관을 둘러보았다.

주천강은 횡성군 태기산에서 발원하여 영월을 거쳐 동강과 만나 남한강으로 흘러가는 강으로, 휴양림은 주천강 연안을 끼고 백두대간의 광대한 천연림에 조성되어 있었다. 도착한 다음날 아침 식사 후 온 가족이 다함께 휴양림의 깊은 숲 속을 걷게 되었는데, 참나무, 잣나무, 소나무와 피나무, 고로쇠나무 등이 있었고 취나물, 더덕, 두릅과 여러 식물들이 자라고 있었다.

휴양림에는 야영장을 비롯하여 숲속 학교, 물놀이터, 강변 천렵장, 어린이놀이터 등의 시설과 생태학습원 같은 자연교육장도 있었다. 또한 그곳 주변에는 치악산과 오대산국립공원, 현대성우리조트, 용평리조트 등이 있고 찐빵으로 유명한 안흥찐빵 마을과 강원 민속촌, 왜가리서식지 등의 관광지가 있어 가족들과 여행하기에는 참 좋은 곳이라고 생각했다.

그곳을 다녀와서 가족들과 여행 소감을 얘기하는 시간이 있었는데, 거대한 자연이 우리에게 주는 힐링의 힘에 대해 많이 느꼈다고 말씀드리니 부모님께서도 같은 생각이라시며 다음 기회에 한 번 더 가자고 말씀하셨다. 그동안 갔었던 여행지가 재미가 있었고 볼거리가 많았다면, 이번 자연휴양림으로의 여행은 힐링과 꿈, 그리고 행복과 사색이라고 말할 수 있을 것 같다.

무더운 여름을 이기기 위해 우리가 켜는 에어컨 바람은 시원하기는 하지만 차고 머리가 아픈데, 울창한 숲이 주는 자연바람은 너무 상쾌하고 우리의 마음을 깨끗하게 해주었다. 자연의 힘은 우리를 힐링시켜 주고 우리에게 좋은 생각, 좋은 마음, 좋은 느낌을 줌으로써 더 큰 꿈과 희망을 갖게 한다는 것을 이번 여행을 통해 알게 되었다.

의미 있는 가족여행을 한 ‘미래도 주천강 자연휴양림’은 서울역에서 KTX를 타면 둔내역에 1시간 20분이면 도착하고, 15분 정도 차를 타면 도착할 수 있으며, 강원도 횡성군 둔내면 강변로 영랑6길 115에 위치하고 있다.

이렇게 위치까지 소개하니 갑자기 홍보대사가 된 듯한데, 아직 가보지 못한 친구들이 있다면 꼭 한 번 가보라고 추천하고 싶은 곳이다.
