Autumn comes and maple leaves start to ripen. The unexpected guest ‘fall’ drops the leaves from the maple tree, and the dead leaves on the floor give a colorful view that attracts many spectators. This year, the weather is even colder. You would have heard at least once that the more the temperature drops, the better the plant creates carbohydrates. When the temperature difference is more extreme, the autumn leaves are more beautifully colored. Many families in Gangnam go on trips to see the fall foliage.

Often people think that Gangnam is not a place to see autumn leaves. However, if you look carefully, there are famous spots where you can find a decent view in Gangnam. In particular, the Yangjaecheon Maple Festival is considered one of the best. Every year, the Drepung Festival is held at the community center in Dog ok 2-dong from October 31 to November 3. Flea markets, agricultural marketplaces, and photo zones attract many people's attention. The maple festival is a great opportunity to see a nice view of autumn with your family.

Another place behind the Maple Festival is Seolneung. There is a 500-year-old Ginkgo tree when you arrive at Seolneung by looking at a map in Samseong-dong. Over 500 years, the colors of maples are very different from those of other regions. Walking through the trees and through the paved roads, you can walk along the path filled with maple trees. The autumn sky, which was hiding in the shade during the summer, comes out at this time of fall when the autumn foliage falls.

강남에 숨어있는 가을 단풍 명소

가을이 찾아오면 단풍잎이 물든다. 예기치 못한 손님은 단풍잎들을 떨어트리고 죽은 단풍잎이 쌓인 바닥을 밟을 때마다 나는 부스럭거리는 소리는 많은 구경꾼들을 불러온다. 이번 가을은 특히나 일교차가 심한 가을이다.

단풍은 일교차가 클수록 잘 만들어진다는 말을 다들 한 번쯤 들어본 적이 있을 것이다. 일교차가 큰 가을인 만큼 단풍도 더 예쁘게 물든다. 오늘도 가족끼리 단풍을 구경하러 강남에 가족여행을 가는 가족들이 많다.

사람들은 흔히 강남이라고 하면 단풍을 보기 적합하지 않은 도시라고 생각하기 일쑤다. 그러나 잘 찾아보면 강남에서도 숨은 단풍명소들이 많다. 특히 양재천 단풍축제는 손에 꼽힌다. 매년 10월 31 부터 11월 3일까지 도곡2동 주민센터에서 단풍 축제가 열린다. 벼룩시장이나 농산물 장터의 포토존은 많은 이들의 관심을 사로잡는다. 한 번쯤은 가족들과 함께 단풍축제를 보러가는것도 나쁘지 않을 것이다.

단풍축제 뒤에 또다른 명소로는 선릉이 있다. 삼성동에서 지도를 보며 선릉에 도착하면 무려 500년 된 은행나무 하나가 있다. 500년의 세월 속에 물드는 단풍의 색은 다른 지역 단풍들과는 사뭇 다른 색을 띈다. 나무들 사이를 지나 포장된 도로 사이를 걷다보면 단풍나무로 가득찬 길을 걸을 수 있다. 여름에 그늘에 가려져 안 보이던 가을하늘도 단풍이 떨어지는 이맘때쯤 맑은 하늘을 엿볼 수 있다.
