About Tuberculosis and Methods to Check Tuberculosis
ÀÌÁö¿¹ °³²Æ÷½ºÆ® Çлý±âÀÚ | ½ÂÀÎ 2019.11.04 20:41

Tuberculosis is one of the most serious epidemic diseases threatening the human body, with the highest prevalence and mortality in Korea as well as throughout the world. Recently prevalence of tuberculosis is decreasing, but there are 1/3 of the population, 2 billion people, on the planet still suffering from Tuberculosis bacteria.

Tuberculosis is an air-borne infection disease caused by tuberculosis germs (Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex) that can infect various parts of the body. Most patients develop tuberculosis and bodily fluids containing tuberculosis bacillus from tuberculosis patients infect tuberculosis, but not all infections result in tuberculosis. Within two years of tuberculosis infection, half of the disease occurs, and the other half goes into the incubation period for months or decades.

Rapid and accurate tuberculosis diagnosis methods are required for these as the number of drug-resistant strains flora is increasing gradually. The treatment of tuberculosis is different depending on the type of tuberculosis. This is also important in terms of choosing appropriate treatments, patient care, and preventive medicine for resisting against tuberculosis. To prevent and detect tuberculosis in the earlier stages, proper testing methods are required to distinguish tuberculosis quickly from non-nuclear antacid bacteria, various molecular, microbiological and immunological testing methods. Those methods help to detect and sympathize more sensitively and swiftly. Typical methods include the ALS assay method and the Transdermal patch method.

ALS assay is an immunological test that detects active diseases such as tuberculosis, chlorella, and typhoid. The principle is used to determine if a person is infected with tuberculosis during the short circulation of plasma B cells of an antigen in the body. Although ALS has the advantage of being able to make quick and accurate diagnoses in the earlier stages, it has some limitations and hassles. The allergies and immune response could happen often after an injection such as Keloid. So, patients should check their immune response first before having this test method.

A transdermal patch is a suggested method for detecting activated tuberculosis bacteria circulating in the patient's blood vessels. The percutaneous patch has antigens that recognize the secret bacterial protein MPB-64 that is in the skin caprice blood vessels.

Currently, 80 out of every 100,000 Koreans have tuberculosis, and it is about 6.1 times higher than the average among OECD countries. This attributed to many causes such as high population density, the lifestyle of the Republic of Korea, sanitation of the people, and awareness, but the lack of early diagnosis of tuberculosis is the biggest reason for the high rate of tuberculosis. Early diagnosis methods, such as those introduced, show that rapid treatments and preventions should be activated and that people should have an interest and awareness in tuberculosis.
