The Industrial Revolution is when a great change is made in people's lives.

The first industrial revolution took place between 1760 and 1820 in Europe and the United States. Transformed mainly from agricultural and rural societies to industries and cities The steel industry played a key role in the industrial revolution with the development of steam engines.

The Second Industrial Revolution began in 1870-1914, just before World War I. It was a growth phase of existing industries, and it used electricity for mass production of new industries such as steel, oil, and electricity.

The Third Industrial Revolution is called in two names. One is called the digital revolution because it has led to the development of technology from analog electronics and mechanical devices to the currently available digital technologies. This era, which began in the 1970s, continues. Developments in the Third Industrial Revolution include personal computers, the Internet, and information and communications technologies.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution includes big data analytics, artificial intelligence, robotics, Internet of Things unmanned vehicles, tertiary printing, and nanotechnology. It is a new technological innovation in the field. Many people have a big misconception about the Fourth Industrial Revolution. They misunderstand the Fourth Industrial Revolution as an IT revolution. However, since IT has been around for a long time, some IT companies are leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Another name for it is the Internet of Things.

The Internet of Things is a time when all things can be connected. What makes this era completely different from its predecessor is that the Internet of Things is an era where everyone can write, use, and develop technology if technology or IT were the domain of experts in the past.

산업혁명은 무엇인가?

산업혁명은 18세기 중엽 영국에서 시작된 농업, 제조업, 광업, 교통 등 산업기술 전반에 걸친 대변혁과 이에 수반된 사회·경제 구조상의 변혁을 말한다. 1차 산업혁명은 유럽과 미국에서 약 1760년에서 1820년 사이에 일어났다. 주로 농경 사회와 농촌 사회에서 산업과 도시로 전환되었다. 철강 산업은 증기 엔진의 개발과 함께 산업 혁명에서 핵심적인 역할을 했다.

2차 산업혁명은  제1차 세계 대전 직전인 1870년에서 1914년 사이에 일어났다. 기존 산업의 성장기였고 철강, 석유 및 전기 같은 신규 산업의 대량 생산을 위해 전력을 사용했다.

3차 산업혁명은 디지털 혁명이라고 불리기도 하는데 디지털 혁명이라고 부르는 이유는 아날로그 전자 및 기계 장치에서 현재 이용 가능한 디지털 기술에 이르는 기술의 발전을 일르켰기 때문이다.  1970년대에 시작된 이 시대는 계속되고 있다. 제3차 산업 혁명의 발전에는 개인용 컴퓨터, 인터넷 및 정보 통신 기술이 포함되어 있다.

제 4차산업혁명은 빅데이터 분석 , 인공지능 , 로봇공학, 사물인터넷  무인 운송 수단, 3차 인쇄, 나노 기술 같은 분야에서의 새로운 기술 혁신이다. 많은 사람들이 4 차산업혁명을 IT 혁명이라고 오해하기도 하지만 IT는 이미 오래전부터 존재해왔고 이러한 IT는 4차산업혁명을 이끌고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 4차산업혁명의 다른 이름은 사물인터넷이다. 사물인터넷은 사물에 센서를 부착해 실시간으로 데이터를 인터넷으로 주고받는 기술이나 환경을 일컫는다. 향후 사물인터넷 시대가 열리면 인터넷에 연결된 기기는 사람의 도움 없이 서로 알아서 정보를 주고 받으며 대화를 나눌 수 있다.

이처럼 사물인터넷으로 연결되는 4차산업혁명시대는 세상에 존재하는 모든 사물이 서로 연결되는 스마트하고 새로운 세상이 펼쳐질 것이다.
