Parasite was released last year in May, and it was a big hit around the world. In domestic, the movie had over 10 million viewers, proving its popularity. Its artistry was also recognized as it won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in Europe, a world-renowned film festival. Many viewers and experts evaluated that the movie well reflected Korea's society. In the film, one of the main characters Park Da-Hye (Jung Ji-so), the eldest daughter of the Park Dong-Ik(Lee Sun-Kyun) 's family, is a character who was born into a wealthy family. She is raised by her loving parents. However, as soon as her dad is killed by the chauffeur, she becomes an unfortunate character all of a sudden. I was mainly in complete sympathy with her since I am the same age as the character. Like her, how painful would those people be who lose their families by unexpected events and crime? What kind of system and support does the nation provide for the families of crime victims?

Currently, there are many accessible facilities for crime victims. The goal of these facilities is to support the system helping crime victims and their families overcome their situations and to protect them through encouragement. The National Association for Victims of Crime provides various support, including counseling support, economic support, environmental improvement support, and job support, from immediately after the outbreak of crimes to a quick recovery. It also hosts the Da Ring campaign to raise funds to support crime victims by collecting donations through the walking contest. Through the event, it stressed the need for the spread of social interest in the families of crime victims and sympathized with their pain.

The Smile Center is a facility of professional psychological support established by the Ministry of Justice that provides medical diagnosis, psychological evaluation, psychotherapy, and legal counseling. The faculty offers all services free of charge for them. As experts from various fields gather to support the service, the Smile Center provides a stable and safe shelter.

As a result, the help of social institutions and our warm touch for crime victims and their families will be the highest strength and comfort.

기생충 다혜를 위한 현실의 위로

작년 5월에 개봉된 영화 “기생충”은 전 세계적으로 큰 흥행을 불러일으켰다. 국내에서는 1000만 이상의 관객을 동원하여 대중성을 보여주었고, 세계적인 영화제인 유럽 칸 영화제에서도 황금 종려상을 받으며 예술성 또한 인정받았다. 많은 관객들과 전문가들은 이 영화 안에 공감이 되는 한국사회의 모습들이 잘 녹아들어 있다는 평을 남겼다.
이 영화 속에는 박동익(이선균) 가족의 맏딸인 박다혜(정지소) 라는 인물이 나온다. 그녀는 부잣집 딸로 부족함 없이 부모님의 사랑을 받고 자란 인물이었지만, 아버지의 갑작스러운 살해를 마주하게 된 불행한 인물이기도 하다. 흥미진진한 전개와 충격적인 결말을 가진 이 영화에서, 나는 유독 나와 동년배인 박다혜(정지소)의 상황에 많은 감정이입이 됐다. 박다혜 (정지소)와 같이, 뜻하지 않은 사건과 범죄로 한순간에 가족을 잃은 사람들은 얼마나 고통을 받을까? 현재 대한민국은 범죄 피해자 가족들을 위해 어떠한 제도와 지원을 제공하고 있을까?

현재, 범죄피해자 가족을 위한 대표적인 시설은 전국범죄피해자지원연합회, 다링켐페인, 스마일 센터 등이 있다. 이 시설들의 공통적인 목표는 범죄피해자와 가족이 함께 극복할 수 있도록 다양한 제도와 캠페인을 지원하고, 후원과 격려를 통해 그들을 지켜주는 것이다. 전국범죄피해자지원연합회는 상담지원, 경제지원, 환경개선지원, 취업지원 등 범죄 발생 직후부터 빠른 회복까지 다양한 지원들을 제공하고 있다. 또한 다링(Da Ring) 캠페인을 주최하여 걷기대회를 통해 성금을 모아 범죄피해자 지원 기금을 적립하고 있다. 이 행사를 통해 범죄 피해자들과 그 가족들에 대한 사회적 관심의 확산이 필요하다는 것을 강조했고, 범죄 피해자의 아픔을 공감하고 행복을 응원했다.

스마일 센터는 법무부가 설립한 전문심리지원 기관으로, 심리적 피해를 입은 피해자에게 의학적 진단, 심리평가, 심리치료, 법률상담 등을 제공한다. 모든 서비스는 그들을 위해 무료로 제공된다. 여러 분야의 전문가들이 모여 서비스를 지원하는 만큼, 스마일 센터는 심리적으로 안정적이고 안전한 쉼터를 제공한다.

이처럼 그들을 위한 많은 사회적 기관들이 있지만, 이 기관들의 실효성 여부와 기관의 인지에 대한 여러 데이터와 분석이 필요할 것으로 보인다. 결과적으로, 범죄 피해자들을 위한 사회적 기관들의 도움과 우리들의 따뜻한 손길이 가장 큰 힘과 위로가 될 것이다.
