Sedol Lee is the World Champion Go player. However, when he played Go with Alpago, he lost. Alpago is artificial intelligence(AI) that was made by Google DeepMind. People believed that artificial intelligence winning people is much more unlikely compared to other games such as chess. Incredibly enough, Alpago won 4 games out of 5 games, therefore this theme had been issued all over the world. Nowadays people got interested in AI after the game of Go between human and artificial intelligence and now developing more and more.

 The first time that people made the actual robot was in 1937, the robot Electro in the US, that was approximately 2 meters tall and 120 kilograms. It could walk by human’s commands, speak almost 700words, smoke, pop a balloon, and move arms and head. It was the first Robot that came out in 1939 in the New York World Fair. This was the start of early artificial intelligence. However, this AI is now developing faster. Even though people thought AI couldn't win a person, the perspective looking at AI got different after the game played with Sedol. It formed a possibility to make AI similar to humans.

 Yet, the consequences might be serious. Humans programmed basic binary code(0 and 1) into the AI. AI will apply the code variously and learn new details on their own. Due to their intelligence, often jobs are taken over and the unemployment rate increases, while many jobs are created by AI. Moreover, AI Terrorism is a new thing that people have to deal with. The expansion of autonomous drones and robotic swarms attacks humans or deliver disease through nanorobots.

 There are a lot of things that artificial intelligence can do that is even more accurate and advanced than human technology. Artificial intelligence is developing rapidly. However, people should also hold firm and slow down the development.

인공지능의 두 얼굴

바둑 세계 챔피언인 이세돌은 알파고와의 바둑 경기에서 패했다. 알파고는 구글 딥마인드가 만든 인공지능(AI)이다. 바둑경기에서 인공지능이 사람을 이기는 것은 체스경기보다 훨씬 가능성이 낮다고 생각했었다. 그러나 놀랍게도 알파고는 5경기 중 4승을 거두었고 이것은 세계적인 이슈가 되었다. 이세돌과 인공지능의 바둑경기 이후, 사람들은 인공지능에 더 큰 관심을 갖게 되었다.

1937년, 미국에서 키는 약 2미터이고 몸무게는 120킬로그램인 로봇 ‘일렉트로닉'을 만들었다. 인간의 명령에 따라 걷기도 했고 700개가 넘는 단어를 말하기도 하며 풍선을 터뜨릴 수도 있었다. 또한 담배를 피거나 팔과 머리를 움직일 수도 있었다. 일렉트로닉은 초기 인공지능의 시발점으로 1939년 뉴욕 세계 박람회에서 나온 최초의 로봇이다. AI는 시간이 지남에 따라 점점 빠르게 발전해왔고 인공지능이 사람을 이기는 것은 불가능하다고 생각했던 사람들의 생각은 이세돌과의 경기 이후 AI를 바라보는 시각이 달라지기 시작했다.

인공지능의 발전과 그 파급력은 점점 커지고 있다. 인간이 인공지능에 프로그래밍한 기본 바이너리 코드(0과 1)는 다양한 방식으로 적용됐고 로봇 스스로 응용력을 높여 어려운 계산까지 빠르게 풀 수 있었다. 이들의 지능 때문에 창출되는 일자리는 많은 반면에 인수인계 되는 일자리가 많아 많은 사람들이 직장을 잃게 됐다. 게다가 AI 테러는 사람들이 다루어야 하는 새로운 주제다. 요즘 시대에 점점 발전하고 있는 드론과 로봇 무리의 확장은 인간을 공격하기도 하고 나노로봇을 통해 질병을 전달하기도 한다.

인공지능이 할 수 있는 것은 인간의 기술보다 훨씬 더 정확하고 진보된 것이 많다. 인공지능 개발은 빠르게 진전되고 있는 만큼 사람들은 이를 주시해며 주의있게 봐야 할 것이다.
