In recent years, as various Internet platforms such as Netflix have rapidly developed and increased, movies and dramas from other countries become popular in Korea with a large number of views. In fact, Hollywood films have spread briskly for quite a long time, but films from non-English-speaking countries such as Europe and Asia have recently begun to make hits domestically. Among them, a Spanish drama called "Money heist" is proving its popularity by recording the highest number of views and streams among Netflix's non-English-speaking dramas. In addition to its popularity, the drama has had a significant impact on social problems and movements. What aspects of this drama have attracted explosive popularity and cause the social movement around the world?
"Money heist" has a story that a professor gathers criminals to form a team and plans and proceeds a huge scaled robbery. Even though they are criminals, they receive massive publicity and attention from viewers because they deliver many messages about society through their plan. They plan to print their own money without hurting and giving damage to anyone.

Their bold and brave actions against society, the government, and the police were enough to win the hearts of the public. Their trademark Dali mask, motivated by a Spanish painter, Salvador Dali, has a funny look at first glance, but it has become a symbol of "resistance" or "hero" and is used in many social movements. Salvador Dali was a surrealist painter who expressed the world of dreams and rituals, and also a figure who had ideas against capitalism. He is a very suitable person for the robbery they had planned. The robbers wearing the Dali masks spread their power to the public, showing the confrontation against the corruption and unjustified authority of the government, and discontent about capitalism, in their ways. Hong Gil-dong from Joseon dynasty, Robin Hood from Europe. We, our society may still need a hero like them.
