There are numerous types of races, worldwide. Now, we are living more diversely as we can see multiracial or foreigners living together. As society develops, everyone should understand and consider living together without any exceptions of race. However, on May 25th, 2020, an African American named George Floyd passed away during a police arrest in Minneapolis, United States. This tragedy was led by police violence against African Americans, which is racism.

As a human, there should not be any exception of the race since no one can decide the majority or minority of race. We are all the same human, but just the color appearance is different. The death of George Floyd causes demonstrations and protests globally. Most people state that the global protests are happening in order to argue against not only this case, but there should not also be any other racial problems. Since there is still racism globally, this injustice case happened. As time goes by, there will be more and more various races of people living together.
 
They might have a different culture, language, behavior, etc. Racism caused by the difference between these factors is not acceptable at all. Not only about this specific case of George Floyd, but there should not also be any racism anywhere, anytime. If this racism remains, anyone can be threatened as everyone is all different. Therefore, remember that we are all the same with equal rights, so the different colors do not matter!

끊이지 않는 인종차별과 부당

다양한 색깔, 같은 권리

전세계에는 셀 수 없이 많은 인종이 살고있다. 시간이 갈수록 더 많은 혼혈, 또는 다문화가정처럼 서로 다른 국적의 사람들이 같이 살고 있다. 그렇기에 사회에서 어느 한 인종이라도 제외되지 않고 모두가 같이 배려하고 이해하며 살아야 한다. 그러나 2020년 5월 25일, 미국 미니애폴리스에서 조지 플로이드라는 흑인남성이 경찰이 체포하던 도중 사망했다. 이는 경찰이 조지 플로이드를 체포할 때에 목을 무릎으로 압박하여 질식사 시켰다. 이 사건 이후, 전세계에서 인종차별을 반대하는 시위가 퍼졌다. 단지 이 흑인과 백인의 사건뿐만 아니라 이 세상 모든 인종들이 서로 다르다는 이유로 아직까지도 차별을 하고 있기 때문이다.

사람들은 어느 누구도 강자와 약자의 인종을 정할 수 없으므로, 인종차별이 있어서는 안 된다. 단지 외관상 피부색이 다를 뿐, 우리는 같은 사람이다. 따라서 조지 플로이드의 죽음은 전 세계적으로 인종차별 반대 시위를 일으켰다. 많은 사람들은 전 세계로 확산되는 이 시위가 단순히 흑인과 백인의 문제일 뿐만 아니라, 모든 인종 차별이 없어지는 세상을 위해 목소리를 낸다고 하였다. 아직 인종차별 문제가 해결되지 않았기에 이 조지 플로이드 사건을 비롯한 많은 문제들이 여전히 발생하고 있는 것이다. 시간이 지날수록, 우리는 더많은 다양한 국적의 사람들과 더불어 살게 될 것이다.

다른 국적의 사람들은 서로 다른 언어, 문화, 행동 등이 있을 것인데, 서로 다르다는 이유만으로 인종차별주의는 정당화 될 수 없다. 더해서, 이 조지 플로이드 사건뿐만 아니라 앞으로도 아무런 인종차별 문제가 일어나는 사건은 없어야 한다.

이 인종차별주의가 유지된다면, 우리 모두는 다 다르기 때문에 그 누구도 자신의 안전을 보장할 수 없다. 따라서, 우리 모두 같은 사람으로서 같은 권리를 가지고 있으며, 모두 존중 받아야한다. 색깔은 아무 의미도 없다.
