These days, people encounter a myriad of death, pain, and tears from the advent of the pandemic, COVID-19. This mainly contributed to the current societal conditions. Restaurants are closing, sports games are postponed, and the economy is experiencing a catastrophic situation. Crowds of people in restrained space became unusual, and instead, a small number of dispersed people is more ubiquitous. Maintaining this particular situation for nearly half a year, many researchers had predicted burgeonings of suicide rate since people are losing their jobs, their loved ones, and gets distressed. Fortunately, the world is currently facing suicide less than expected, but we must not let the guard down yet as scientists are still in the stage of developing the vaccine. Suicide, which is generally stimulated by the accumulation of stress, can be prevented by implementing several behaviors.

First of all, people need to stay connected with each other. Seclusion produces idleness, leading to a state of depression. This particular condition would cause extreme stress, ultimately leading to fatal decisions.

Furthermore, a healthy diet and a daily workout routine are necessary. Some people seem to neglect the influences of physical health when the topic comes to an emotional issue like stress. However, diet and exercise play a pivotal role as healthy foods are capable of cutting the levels of cortisol and adrenaline, in which stress hormones abound. Physical activity can also bump up the production of endorphins in the brain, generating emotional support against stress.

Finally, people should take breaks from watching the news. Getting updated with much information can upset them as the condition does not show any signs of recovery in some countries. Therefore, people should sometimes refrain from watching the news and do joyful activities instead.
