Biomarkers are indicators that can detect changes in the body using proteins, DNA, RNA, and metabolites. It can be used to study various diseases and is also effective in the development of new drugs.

To date, various biomarkers have been studied and used. Recently, the Korea Research Foundation discovered a new protein capable of diagnosing lung cancer. It is also said that it can predict future survival rates. Lung cancer was the cancer with the highest mortality rate and the lowest diagnosis rate so far. Also, since lung cancer has few changes and symptoms in the body, biomarkers were not well found. However, as a result of analyzing lung cancer patients recently, the increase and the decrease in the number of specific proteins were studied.

In particular, the correlation between TRIM28 and RLIM protein was used to analyze the correlation between future survival rates. As a result, it was found that the survival rate of patients with increased TRIM28 and low amounts of RLIM protein was low.

The results of this study will play an important role in future clinical research and are expected to play a crucial role in research for cancer research. These studies are expected to lower lung cancer mortality in the future and have a great impact on pharmaceutical research that will treat them. Furthermore, it appears that it will have a positive effect on researching biomarkers of not only lung cancer but also various related cancers.

새로운 바이오 마커의 발견

바이오마커란 단백질, DNA, RNA, 대사 물질 등을 이용해 몸안의 변화를 알아낼 수 있는 지표를 말한다. 이를 활용하여 다양한 질병을 연구할 수 있으며 또한 신약개발에도 효과적이다.

지금까지 다양한 바이오마커가 연구되었으며 사용되었다.  최근 한국연구재단은 폐암진단이 가능한 새로운 단백질을 발견했다. 이는 또한 앞으로의 생존율도 예측할 수 있다고 한다. 폐암dms 현재까지 사망률이 가장 높고 진단율은 매우 낮은 암이었다. 또한 폐암은 몸의 변화나 증상도 적기 때문에 바이오마커 또한 잘 발견되지 않았다.

하지만 최근 폐암환자를 분석해 본 결과 특정 단백질 양의 증가와 감소가 연구되었다.
특히 TRIM28과 RLIM 단백질의 상관관계로 앞으로의 생존율의 상관관계를 분석했다. 결과적으로 TRIM28은 증가하고 RLIM단백질의 양이 적은 환자들의 생존율이 낮은 것으로 밝혀졌다.

이 연구의 결과는 앞으로의 임상연구의 중요한 역할을 할 것이며, 암 연구를 위한 연구의 결정적인 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 이러한 연구는 앞으로의 폐암 사망률 또한 낮춰주고 이를 치료할 제약연구에도 큰 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대된다. 더 나아가 폐암 뿐만 아니라 관련된 다양한 암의 바이오마커를 연구하는 데에도 긍정적 영향을 미칠 것으로 나타났다.
