After the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the world is actively developing artificial intelligence, converging with technologies in various fields, and creating another technology or machine. However, increasingly, these technological advances are applied to the IT industry or other technical industries and more and more kinds of fields.

Chanel, a famous brand among makeup lovers worldwide, has launched an application using artificial intelligence technology. Consumers do not widely know this application shortly after its release, but it is expected to become more popular. Most makeup fans use the product on the back of their hands or lips when they buy lip products and choose the color after seeing it. However, it is dangerous to go directly because of the corona virus, and even if you go, you cannot demonstrate the product. In this situation, Chanel launched a beneficial application for consumers.

The application is called Lip-Scanner. The application allows consumers to recognize the color lip that they wanted to see and have in media such as magazines and photographs and find the lipstick that looks the most similar or identical in the color Chanel has. If you scan your face through a picture, you can even see the texture of the lipstick. Besides, a function called "Try-on" is also available using artificial intelligence to recognize users' faces and test their colors on their lips.

The lip scanner will continue to develop with Chanel's unique technology and will use in many lip products.

인공지능의 발달: 더 이상 IT 산업에만 국한되지 않다

제 4차 산업혁명을 겪으며 세계는 인공지능을 활발히 발전시키고 여러 분야의 기술들과 융합하며 또 다른 기술이나 기계를 만들어 내고 있다. 하지만 점점 이러한 기술 발전은 IT산업이나 다른 기술적인 산업에만 적용될 뿐만 아니라 점점 더 많은 종류의 분야들에 적용되고 있다.

전세계 메이크업을 좋아하는 사람들에게 인기있는 브랜드인 샤넬이 인공지능 기술을 사용한 어플리케이션을 출시했다. 이 어플리케이션은 출시한 지 얼마 지나지 않아서 널리 알려지진 않았지만 점점 인기를 얻을 전망이다. 왜냐하면 대부분의 메이크업 팬들은 립 제품을 살 때 손등이나 입술에 제품을 사용해보고 발색을 보고 색을 선택한다. 하지만 지금 현재 코로나 바이러스 때문에 직접 가는 것도 위험하고 간다고 해도 제품을 시연해 볼 수 없다. 이러한 상황에서 소비자들을 위해서 샤넬이 획기적인 어플리케이션을 출시했다.

이 어플리케이션의 이름은 ‘립스캐너’다. 이 어플리케이션은 컬러 스캐너를 통해서 소비자들은 자신들이 잡지나 사진 등과 같은 미디어에서 보고 가지고 싶었던 컬러의 립을 인식하여서 샤넬이 보유하고 있는 색에서 가장 비슷하거나 똑같은 색의 립스틱을 찾아준다. 사진을 통하거나 얼굴을 스캔하면 립스틱의 텍스처까지 찾아준다. 또한 사용자의 얼굴을 인식하여 입술에 그 컬러를 테스트할 수 있는 ‘트라이 온’이라는 기능도 인공지능을 사용하여 갖추었다.

이 립스캐너는 샤넬의 독자적인 기술로 앞으로 계속적으로 발전될 예정이고 여러 립 제품에도 통합적으로 사용될 예정이다.
