Many people think seriously about gender discrimination that women are suffering, but there is also gender discrimination that men are suffering. People think men must be manly and have masculine behavior; for example, men should always be brave, men should always eat a lot, men should always be strong, and men should always be bold. And also, some people think that men must talk to them first when they are in a relationship or on a date, men must protect them, and men should ask them out first. People believe that men should act in a manly way, and they think the girl is a ladylike way to behave.

But this is not logically correct, and we have human rights as human beings, and regardless of whether it is a man or a woman, we have the right to decide in what way we will behave ourselves, and we have freedom. It is gender discrimination in itself to think that men should have a manly way and women should have a womanly way. That's the wrong way. If we have the same rights and human rights, whatever personality we have or how we behave, our total freedom is regardless of gender. It is a violation of human rights and gender discrimination to have a gender-appropriate method.

I think people's thoughts should change themselves. Men should not discriminate against women, but it is also wrong for women to discriminate against men. Gender discrimination is no different from racism. People cannot choose their own appearance, skin color, and gender at birth. It's not that we choose and are born. And it is wrong to judge us in some way because of our appearance or skin color. If everyone has the right to be equal, gender, skin color, appearance, and for any reason, people should not be judged by such things, and we are all equal. Therefore, just as racism is wrong, the gender discrimination that men receive is unjust, and this paradigm should be changed.

남자들이 받는 성차별

많은 사람들이 여자가 받는 성차별에 대해서는 심각하게 생각하는데, 막상 남자들이 받는 성차별도 존재한다는 사실을 잘 알지 못한다. 사람들은 남자라면 무조건 남자다워야 되고, 그 어떤 일정한 방식으로 행동해야 옳다고 생각한다, 예를 들면, 남자라면 항상 씩씩해야 되고, 남자라면 항상 밥을 많이 먹어야 되고, 남자라면 항상 힘이 세야 하고, 남자라면 무조건 용감해야 된다고 생각한다. 그리고 어떤 사람들은 남자와 여자가 연애를 하거나 사귈 때 무조건 남자가 먼저 말을 걸어야 되고, 남자가 여자를 보호해야 되고, 좋아한다는 말도 남자가 먼저 해야 된다고 생각한다. 사람들은 남자라면 일정한 방식으로 행동해야 된다고 믿고 있다. 그리고 또 여자라면 일정한 방식으로 행동해야 그것이 올바른 것이라고 생각하는 사람들이 있다.

그러나 이것은 논리적으로 맞지 않다. 그리고 우리는 인간으로서의 인권이라는 것이 있고, 남자이건 여자이건 상관없이 우리는 우리 스스로가 어떠한 방식으로 행동할 것인지인지를 결정할 권리가 있고, 자유가 있다. 남자라고 일정한 방식으로 행동해야 되고, 여자라고 일정한 방식으로 행동해야 된다고 생각하는 것 자체가 성차별이다. 그러한 방식은 잘못된 방식이다. 우리에게 똑같은 권리와 인권이라는 것이 있다면, 그 어떤 성격을 가지고 있던, 어떤 방식으로 행동을 하건, 그것은 성별과 상관없이 우리의 전적인 자유다. 성별 때문에 일정한 방식으로 행동해야 한다는 것은 인권침해이고 성차별이다.

사람들의 이런 생각 자체가 바뀌어야 된다고 생각한다. 남자가 여자를 성차별해도 안 되지만 그렇다고 해서 여자가 남자를 성차별하는 것 또한 잘못된 것이다.

성차별은 인종차별과 다를 것이 없다. 우리는 태어날 때 생김새나 피부색 그리고 성별을 선택할 수 없다. 우리가 선택하고 태어나는 것이 아니기 때문에 생김새나 피부색, 성별로 판단하는 것은 잘못된 것이다. 모든 사람들이 평등할 권리가 있다면, 성별, 피부색, 생김새, 그 어떠한 이유라 할지라도, 그런 것들로 인해서 사람들을 판단해서는 안 되며, 모든 사람들을 동등하고, 평등하게 대해야 한다. 그렇기 때문에, 인종차별이 잘못된 것인 것처럼, 남자들이 받는 성차별도 잘못된 것이고 이러한 패러다임은 바뀌어야 한다.
