In the last few days, news stations, social media, and conversations have been aflare with whispers and guesses on the health status of Tiger Woods, arguably the greatest golf player of all time. Tiger, who started his professional golfing career at the age of 20, has since racked up 82 PGA, Professional Golfers’ Association, tour victories, 15 professional major men’s golf championships, and has been declared in the World Golf Hall of Fame. However, his career is at risk, suffering from a severe injury during an accidental car crash on a Tuesday morning in Los Angeles, California. Surrounding this spreading issue includes discussions of how the incident happened, and most importantly his car, Genesis GV80, a vehicle from the luxury brand of South Korea's Hyundai Motors.

There have been debates surrounding the functionality of the car, whether it saved Tiger’s life, or caused more harm to him than a supposed other car would have. Usually, when car crashes do happen to celebrities or notable figures, the respective companies that manufactured the cars, either become a host for continuous criticism or benefit economically, both from the increase in stock share prices and an increase in customers, who now are positive that the car is a safe and cost-efficient buy. In most deliberations, there has been affirmative analysis on the car, in saying that it did indeed save Tiger’s life.

Sheriffs of the city of Los Angeles told the public that Tiger was “lucky to be alive” and if he were to have been in a weaker, less protective vehicle, his life would have been in critical danger. With this, the Hyundai motors, and its luxury brand Genesis, has received acclamation from the public, as well as positive reviews from other vehicle owners, and the company’s future, looking brighter than the day before.
