Ambition can lead people to accomplish their goals by provoking their inner desires in a good way. On the contrary, excessive ambition can be detrimental if it gets to a point where one is trying to harm others for their good.

Macbeth and Donald Trump are both examples of those who represent this adverse effect through their ruthless and egoistic actions.  Macbeth ruthlessly murders King Duncan for the throne, abuses his servants and countrymen, and refuses to acknowledge the repercussions of his actions.

Similarly, Trump constantly cites unverified hypotheses about COVID-19 to the media to boost his support rating. They were both conscious that what they were doing was not for the benefit of others, but their own money and honor. Their ugly drive for notoriety and a prosperous future finally leads them to the swamp of eternal misery.

In the end, too much ambition for recognition might lead to one's demise. The shackles of all his atrocities against innocent people proved to be a counter-effect to his original objective as a dogmatic ruler in Macbeth. Similarly, Trump's sins and lies were exposed, causing his reputation to suffer gravely.

As proven by Macbeth and Trump, they were both eager for their status, resulting in one's death and the other's national condemnation. In the end, their need for notoriety and power triumphed over their desire for good actions and honesty. To avoid these mistakes, it is critical to listen to people while remaining modest in all situations.

인정을 위한 야망의 균형을 깨뜨리다

야망은 좋은 방법으로 내면의 욕망을 자극함으로써 사람들이 목표를 성취하도록 이끌 수 있다. 이와 반대로, 지나친 야심은 자신의 이익을 위해 다른 사람들을 해치려는 지경에 이르게 되면 해로울 수 있다. 

맥베스와 도널드 트럼프는 둘 다 무자비하고 이기적인 행동을 통해 이러한 역효과를 대표하는 사람들의 예이다. 

맥베스는 왕좌를 위해 던컨 왕을 잔인하게 살해하고, 그의 신하들과 동포들을 학대하며, 그가 저지른 일의 결과를 인정하지 않았다. 마찬가지로 트럼프는 지지율을 높이기 위한 방법으로 코로나19와 관련한 검증되지 않은 가설을 끊임없이 언론에 인용했다. 그들은 둘 다 자신들이 하는 일이 다른 사람들을 위한 것이 아닌 자신의 부와 명예를 위한 것임을 알고 있었다. 추악한 인정욕구와 번영의 미래를 향한 그들의 추진력은 마침내 그들을 영원한 불행의 늪으로 이끌었다.

결국, 인정을 위한 지나친 야심은 한 사람의 몰락을 초래할 수 있다. 무고한 사람들에 대한 그의 모든 죄의 사슬은 맥베스에서 독단적인 통치자라는 그의 원래 목표에 대한 역효과로 입증되었다. 비슷하게, 트럼프의 죄와 거짓말이 폭로되어 그의 평판이 심각하게 손상되었다. 맥베스와 트럼프에 의해 증명되었듯이, 그들은 둘 다 그들의 지위를 갈망했고, 한 명은 죽고 다른 한 명은 국가적인 비난을 초래했다. 

결국, 인정과 권력에 대한 그들의 야망은 선행과 정직에 대한 야망을 이겼다. 이러한 악행을 막기 위해서는, 모든 상황에서 겸손한 자세를 유지하면서 다른 사람들의 말에 귀를 기울이는 것이 중요하다.
