Celebrities are known to have many fans all around the world because of their talents, looks, and personas. However, many celebrities such as Travis Scott, Will Smith, and Amber Heard are beginning to soil their own reputations, causing fans to leave them. Now a new celebrity is close to becoming one of the members of the hated-celebrity group. 

Elon Musk, who is the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, was recently was sued for $258 billion by Keith Johnson, a Dogecoin investor, who accused Musk of running a pyramid scheme to benefit the cryptocurrency. A pyramid scheme is a business model that enrolls members through a promise of subscriptions or assistance for applying others to the scheme instead of supplying investments or selling products.

Johnson is trying to get $86 billion in damages and $172 billion for the tripled damage to help the people who have lost money investing in Dogecoin. Additionally, Johnson demands that Musk should stop promoting Dogecoin in Tesla and SpaceX. However, Elon Musk did not respond to the lawsuit and instead revealed through Twitter that Tesla began accepting Dogecoin for business deals in its online store and that SpaceX is going to also accept Dogecoin soon. This tweet caused the value of Dogecoin to skyrocket, increasing its price from USD 0.078 to an intra-day high of USD 0.085 - registering a jump of 9 percent in minutes. 
 
Other cryptocurrencies had their trades decrease after Dogecoin’s success. This caused a power struggle between Dogecoin and the other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. As an investor in Tesla, I am beginning to worry about the situation Elon Musk is putting Tesla in by not truly taking this accusation seriously.
