The quantity of data that can be stored in DNA storage is at least twice as much as that in digital storage, which only needs a small, microscopic molecule. Digital storage requires massive hardware devices to hold compact data.

 

The fact that DNA storage is significantly safer than conventional digital storage is one of its many advantages. Scientists asserted that DNA storage is extremely safe and does not require routine maintenance inspections. Additionally, according to research, it can preserve its information without a power source, which can minimize the amount of energy and electricity used while also reducing global warming. While digital data is often saved between 12 and 33 degrees Celsius, DNA may be preserved at 4 degrees, which is far more advantageous.
