Many automakers around the world are developing future cars. But one of the most anticipated and awaited cars of the future will be made by Apple. The U.S. IT media DeInformation has released information on electric vehicle projects that Apple has been developing for about eight years with the aim of launching them in 2025. Apple's future car seems different from other future cars in design and function. 

In the media, the design of the Apple car has a curved ceiling that resembles the roof of the Volkswagen Beetle. It also reported that four seats face each other so that passengers can see each other and talk to each other. In addition, since it is being developed focusing on autonomous administration, there are no steering wheels and pedals, and the interior is expected to be designed according to these characteristics.

Apple is experimenting with trunk rooms that go up and down to make it easier to use and is also considering the installation of a large screen that is hidden behind the seat of the car and then automatically comes down when used. Through this concept, the future exterior and interior of the Apple car will be designed. Apple's former design pack manager, Johnny Ive, is also said to have continued to participate in the design of the Apple car project.

애플카, 미래 자동차 될까?

전 세계 많은 자동차 회사들이 미래 자동차를 개발하고 있다. 하지만 가장 기대되고 기다려지는 미래 자동차들 중 하나는 애플에 의해 만들어질 것이다. 미국의 IT매체 디인포메이션에서 2025년 출시를 목표로 애플이 약 8년간 개발 중에 있는 전기차프로젝트에 대한 정보를 공개했다. 애플의 미래차는 디자인과 기능면에서 다른 미래차와 차별화 된다.

언론에 따르면 애플카의 디자인은 폭스바겐 비틀의 지붕을 닮은 곡선형 천장을 가지고 있다. 그리고 탑승자들 간에 서로 얼굴을 보고 대화할 수 있도록 4개의 좌석이 서로 마주보고 있는 형태의 구조로 되어있다고 보도했다. 또한 자율주행에 초점을 맞춰 개발되고 있기 때문에 운전대와 페달이 없고, 실내도 이런 특성에 맞춰 설계될 전망이다. 

애플은 트렁크를 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 오르락 내리락 하는 트렁크 객실을 실험 중이며, 자동차의 시트 뒤에 가려져 있다가 사용할 때 자동으로 내려오는 대형 스크린 설치도 논의 중이다. 이를 통해 애플카의 외부, 내부가 디자인될 예정이다. 이번 애플카 프로젝트 디자인에는 애플의 전 디자인 팩임자인 조니 아이브도 계속 참여한 것으로 전해졌다. 

유출된 애플카의 외부 디자인을 보면 현재 시중에서 볼 수 있는 흔한 자동차의 모습과 다르게 운전자와 승객의 시야를 시원하게 확보해 안전성을 높인 디자인으로 우리가 어렸을 때 미래를 상상하며 그렸던 미래자동차의 모습과 닮아 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 애플의 자율주행 자동차 프로젝트 ‘타이탄 프로젝트’ 시작 후 8년간 이렇다한 결과물을 내지 못한 애플카가 과연 완벽한 미래자동차의 모습으로 세상에 나올 수 있을까?
