What’s Going on with our Climate?
김시유 강남포스트 학생기자 | 승인 2022.09.06 20:47

The amount of energy and gas consumed in the modern world grows with each passing year. Various countries begin growing and expanding their technology and cities, resulting in a more pleasant and contemporary environment for humanity; yet the amount of natural resources spent on these initiatives has exacerbated climate change and global warming.

Climate change is caused by a variety of factors, the majority of which are related to our everyday lives. Power generation, industrialization, deforestation, and excessive consumption trap the sun's heat, causing heat waves to worsen. According to studies, the world is warming faster than at any other time in history.

Natural catastrophes have escalated in the last five years because of human impact and the use of natural resources. Climate change caused bushfires in Australia (2020), violent tornadoes in the United States, and enormous precipitation such as the flash flood in Indonesia (2020) and floods in South Korea (2022). In addition, there have been issues with the water, wildlife, and natural environments.

Many scientists have been investigating strategies to remedy this issue; nevertheless, solving this problem without the assistance of society is difficult. We've been warned about how we affect the earth's circumstances, and it's tragically getting worse as fewer people become interested in these issues.
