Have you ever seen a photo of 432 Park Avenue before? It is a tall building located on Billionaires Row with apartments that sell for tens of millions of dollars.

The building is controversial, with various people speaking out about the building's design, development, and litigation.

Why exactly is this building so controversial? In 2006, New York developer Harry Macklowe bought the Drake Hotel for 418 million dollars.

He invested over 150 million dollars in the project due to a promise that the Deutschmark bank would refinance his loans once they matured in late 2007. This promise never happened, as Harry faced a major loss due to the real-estate collapse of the early 1990s.

Despite his loss, Macklowe was determined to complete 432 Park Avenue.

In the same year that the buildings were completed, there were already claims about the building having visible cracks.

In February 2021, the residents sued the developers of 432 Park Avenue for construction problems such as broken pipes and flooding of the buildings.

I believe that Harry Macklowe's loss in the real estate collapse impacted the quality of 432 park avenue and that if it didn't happen the building could have been a remarkable achievement in history.
