Procrastination is the act of deferring or postponing duties until the last possible moment (very well mind). It not only affects everyday productivity but also prevents you from attaining your goals. Procrastination, according to professors like Dr. Piers Steel, is "self-harm." We are conscious of ourselves avoiding the work we are meant to accomplish while procrastinating, even if we know it is terrible.
It may also be considered as a curse since procrastination combines with all of our bad feelings. Boredom, anxieties, irritation, self-doubt, and other factors are among them. The irony of procrastination is that we procrastinate to feel better, yet it just makes things worse in the end.
According to studies, those aged 14 to 29 procrastinate the most. Students are known to delay a lot as a result of stress and erroneous negative views about themselves. Perfectionism, fear of failure, avoidance, poor self-esteem, and other factors are among the causes (soul salt). Procrastination is reported to cause and result in lower exam scores, lower grades, academic stress, poor time management, and withdrawals in students. Also, students are not completely evolved and formed, and they lack time management and self-organization when compared to adults. They generally suffer from long-term, intractable procrastination.
Although mental health challenges are tough to overcome, there are ways to control and deal with procrastination. Techniques such as committing tiny steps, breaking tasks, getting organized, taking breaks, and setting goals can help you stop being a procrastinator.
