No one can predict the future, and the NBA is no exception. Before the start of the NBA season, many expected the Philadelphia 76ers to have a good season and the Utah Jazz to have a bad one. It was clear that the 76ers, with Joel Embiid and James Harden, would have a championship contender season, and the Jazz, the team that lost its superstars, would fall to the lowest seeds. However, their predictions are being proven wrong at this point of the season (November 21st).

The expectations for the 76ers were brilliant. Almost every analyst thought they would claim high seeds in the competitive Eastern Conference. Their offseason moves of adding P.J. Tucker, Montrezl Harrell, and De'Anthony Melton were highly praised. Many thought that this was the year for the Sixers to win it all in the end.

Meanwhile, expectations for the Jazz were a different story. In the offseason, the Jazz lost two superstars, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Most analysts believed they would not make the playoffs this year. Everybody thought the Jazz was rebuilding and not focusing on winning this season.

Despite optimistic expectations for the 76ers and negative ones for the Jazz, results show the opposite. Today, the Philadelphia 76ers have a record of eight wins and eight losses, while the Utah Jazz is having a good start to the season, with twelve wins and seven losses. In addition, the Sixers started the season with no wins and three losses and got their first win after three straight losses.

Despite initial expectations, Utah Jazz is becoming the best team in the NBA, while the Sixers are going down.
