Various species of animals and the environment have become threatened as civilization and people grow. The White Rhinoceros is one of the few endangered animals.

Prior to delving into the reasons for their extinction, it should be noted that White Rhinos are among the biggest creatures that have ever lived. They have a lifetime of 16 to 18 months and are found throughout Southern Africa. They are referred to as White Rhinos since in Africa, "white" also signifies vast. Wide lips of white rhinos make it easier for them to eat (especially grass). They have existed on earth for around 50?55 million years, making them an uncommon species. They are not only uncommon, but they also balance economic expansion and advance the environment.

However, the mammal became endangered as the population started decreasing. Going back in history, White Rhinos have been under great threat because of their horns. Humans have been illegally hunting them and trading their thorns causing major extinction and decline. The number of rhinos decreased immensely as most of them meet their death faster than reproducing. As of March 2018, there are only 2 Northern White Rhinos left in the world. Both are known to be female, as they are unable to reproduce new/ baby White Rhinos. Looking back at this cause, we can see how humans negatively impact animals and nature because of their greedy desires. White Rhinos aren’t the only mammal that is currently going extinct. Only a few from society tend to understand the impact they’re giving on the earth. Wildlife animals help develop and nurture the environment. As this is a serious matter, humans should be taking action to improve and support the extinct/ endangered animals.
