First off, because of the success of OTT projects like Squid Game, movie producers now have a much stronger belief in OTT platforms. As a result, many South Korean producers are making a lot of Netflix-exclusive films and series. But in my opinion, this is a bad approach to making a movie because they rush into production, leaving audiences unsatisfied with the performance, script, and other elements.
Second, movies these days, especially superhero movies have been falling short of expectations. Superhero movies have been a big part of the movie market not just because of their profit but its fans, but now, movie directors cut corners and produce their movies as if they were being produced at a factory because they believe their fans will watch their movies despite their horrible quality. For example, Warner Bros Movie Corp. does not have a single successful movie after Aquaman in 2018, and Marvel Studio also can not make any movies that stand out. I believe that movie producers do not consider the audience's views anymore and because they have institutions like OTT platforms, they just keep rehashing the same heroes and plots to earn profit.
In conclusion, I'd like to advise that filmmakers should take into account the kind of films audiences would be interested in seeing and not always rely on OTT platforms. They should also abandon the notion that OTT platforms are always profitable.
