The 2023 Next Rise Startup Fair, where one can view the latest global trends and new technologies and services from startups, was held from June 1st to 2nd, 2023. Celebrating its fifth edition this year, it was the largest ever; over 450 startups from 17 countries participated. The fair attracted over 20,000 visitors. 

At the exhibition, 1:1 meetings were held between over 200 global corporations, investment firms, and 1,000 startups. Through 3,299 meetings, startups achieved business collaborations and investment outcomes with investment firms. The participating startups included app development companies in the IT sector, fintech firms, AI big data startups, medical science companies, and new materials companies. 

The business services pertaining to human resources management and mental health were characterized by presenting specific solution-oriented reports. In the fintech sector, blockchain platforms related to real estate dominated the scene. This year, in line with the growing interest in AI, such as ChatGPT AI, companies in the AI field showcased a diverse range of business ideas. There were genuinely novel services at the event, including a platform that connects food and sound and a service that uses artificial intelligence to match photos of models without necks provided by companies to make their actual faces. 

Since establishing the domestic startup system in South Korea in 2015, many startups have been created, and some have achieved billions in revenue with their business item that can gain high popularity among the public. With only about 2% of supported companies failing, according to tips support statistics, the current situation in Korea, where services are appropriately evaluated, analyzed, and invested, is considered to have a bright future. Following Rise Events are making significant contributions to spreading technological innovation throughout our economy, with a particular focus on startups.
