These days, the world is witnessing the impacts of global warming and extreme weather events. Every year, the temperature is rising, breaking new highest temperature records. Rising temperature is posing a significant threat to ecosystems worldwide.

Since 1880, the global average surface temperature has increased by 0.08 o Celsius per decade. However, since 1980, the global average surface temperature has been increasing more than twice as fast, which is 0.18 o Celsius per decade. 

Because of global warming, the global average temperature is consistently increasing, affecting the ecosystem. The temperature rise is causing the shrinkage of glaciers and ice sheets, coral bleaching, and extreme weather events. Also, the temperature rise is causing changes in the habitats of animals and plants. For example, a great white shark was found in Korea, mostly in subtropical zones. Additionally, about 11,700 square kilometers of coral were lost because of increased ocean temperature. Recently, there was a wildfire in Canada because of the dry weather and high temperature.

To protect our planet's future, we must take urgent and collaborative action to address the global warming catastrophe. We are at a turning point that will affect future generations. Therefore, the time to take action is now. The urgent need for climate action presents a chance to create a more resilient, sustainable, and fair world for everyone, in addition to being a question of survival.
